Bantwal, Dec 19: The president of the town municipal council here agreed to the demands of the opposition that the case of missing CC Cameras erected on roadside and the goods from council store room will be handed over to the Lokayukta within the next 30 days.

The ordinary meeting was presided over by the council president Mohammed Sharif on Monday, December 19.

Member Janardhan Chandtimar said that neither the council president nor the members were invited for the ground breaking of the dam costing Rs 135 crore.

President Sharif directed the concerned to vacate roadside fruits and vegetable sellers hindering the movement of pedestrians. Member Janardhan Chandtimar asked what action was being taken against those who are illegally constructing buildings on storm water drains.

Member Govinda Prabhu said that the department of environment has registered a criminal case against the council president regarding the trash disposal unit at Kanchinadka.

Vice president Jacinta D’Souza was present. Members Gangadhar Poojary, Vidyavathi, Pramod Kumar, Zeenath, Hasainar and Shashikala took part in the various discussions.
