Jet Airways Joins Arab Air Carriers Organisation

Mumbai, May 31 (IANS): Jet Airways, India's leading private airline, has joined Arab Air Carriers Organisation (AACO) as a partner airline, a top airline official said here Monday.

"With our growing presence in the Middle East, an opportunity to partner with Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO) is important and strategic to our continued success in the region," said Jet Airways CEO Nikos Kardassis.

The partnership with the regional airline association will provide Jet Airways and the Arab airline members of AACO opportunities of creating synergies through various joint projects in areas of fuel management, ground services, safety initiatives and training, besides more.

AACO Secretary-General Abdul Wahab Teffaha, terming it as a "momentous event," said the AACO has developed a strong presence amongst associations through the establishment of joint projects, which help member airlines to achieve better economies of scale and scope.

"Jet Airways is a formidable airline with very high quality of service and expanding global network based in one of the most vibrant and promising markets of the world. The synergies of the cooperation between Arab airlines and Jet Airways will open new horizons for the parties concerned," Teffaha said.
