Movement of Crores of Rupees from Puttaparthi Raises Eyebrows

Movement of Crores of Rupees from Puttaparthi Raises Eyebrows

Daijiworld Media Network - Puttapathi

Puttaparthi, Jun 20: Even as the news of the arrest of Udupi-based Qualis car driver Sadashiv Harishnanda Shetty spread around Puttaparthi, a large number of devotees and people from surrounding areas rushed to Puttaparthi ashram to find out the truth, and some perhaps, to see if they could get some share of the booty too.

The opening of Satya Sai Baba's personal chamber recently was the reason for the curiosity, though the amount declared was about 12 crore, some people believe the total sum could be more than what was declared.

Sadashiv Shetty's car was held at Bagepally toll-gate near Hindupur town, near Bangalore on Sunday, June 19. About Rs 35.5 lac of cash was found in his car, but Shetty insisted with the police that he was not aware of the cash. But there are also reports that he disclosed to the police that the cash belonged to one of the Sai Baba trustees and he was delivering it to the trustee's relative.

Another news that made the rounds was that of two buses which were stopped at Kottecheravu, Andhra Pradesh, with several jute bags full of currency worth crores.

The police, however, do not want to disclose any information to the media regarding this, it is learnt.

But later in the evening, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust member R J Ratnakar told reporters that the Trust had nothing to do with the cash. It belonged to 12 persons who are not associated with the Trust and they would approach the authorities and resolve the issue, he added.

It is surprising that the Andhra Pradesh government has not reacted despite the movement of crores of rupees from Puttaparthi Ashram.

It would be interesting to see whether the issue will get widspread publicity, or be buried with the 'help' of police.

If somebody is impressed with the good expressions like above, is inspired for doing good work for the society, we should ignore it. Govt. agencies should initiate appropriate action to this effect. We, the common people, should not interfere in their legal action.

In the olden days, all of the
    greatest religious leaders of all
religions had a different lifestyle of self-sacrifice and
    lived with bare necessities of
    life. Majority of them lived
through hand outs by the followers,
lived in small huts, had a pair
    of clothings. They practiced what
    they preached.

But, the whole horizon of religious
show has changed as a magic world
of fancy lifestyle and millions of
dollars worth of assets under their custody. The fervent followers are simply honouring
and sharing their wealth with the
    religious leaders in an awkward
    anticipation that everything is
    spent for humanitarian purpose.
When I watch some of the electronic preachers in the U.S., they talk
70% of the time about sending them
money to get blessings from heaven, and all of them are
    multimillionaires through marketing
religion. Until we can have a
conviction that God wants us to
    share our blessings with the
    next door neighbour in need,
relgious gurus will be flying high
by selling their prayers and everything else for varying monetary rate.

Not only the black-money but even all the donations received from the ill-gotten wealth by the religious trusts are also equally qualified to be ill-wealth/black-money. The religious trust should not accept the wealth ped by faceless donors into their hundy boxes because only the black moneyed crooks donate so liberally to any organisation because it is directly or indirectly others looted wealth.

If this does not raise eyebrows what should it raise? Inspite of utterances to the contrary it seems all at the helm there found solace in only one thing' money'!
High time devotees of all hues realise this before forking out their hard earned money at these
    jaunts in return for solace!!!

Why a person choose the professions like Engineering, Doctor, professor, Manager, General Manager. The current situation shows:

The best profession now a days is to be a baba for Yoga, a Trustee Member, a Temple Poojary, a Priest, a Pastor, some Nithyanandas, a Mulla, a Dawa Center Chief. or a Cleric.

no wonder property prices in India has shot up thru' the roof, because of hordes of black money within India itself and people like me cannot even hope to buy a flat for the next 15 years of working in the Gulf (even though i have a decent salary), whereas, people in India become overnight millionaires with illegal wealth.
