Kadaba, Mar 30: A Daiva Nartaka died while performing an act on March 30 at Edamangala village of the taluk.
The deceased is identiufed as Kantu Ajila Moolangiri, a renowned religious dancer. He was serving as a Daiva Nartaka for several years and performing in various Kolas and Nemas of Koodugattige in Edamangala village.
On Thursday March 30, Nemotsava was in progress at Idyadka in Edamangala village when Kantu collapsed during his performance. Though he was taken to the hospital immediately, he succumbed. It is suspected that he must have suffered a cardiac arrest.
The video where Kantu is seen collapsing while doing the act has gone viral on social media.
