Mangaluru, Jun 6: A student who is one of the victims of moral policing incident that occurred at Someshwar beach recently, has filed a complaint with city police commissioner accusing the Ullal police station personnel of assaulting him.
The city police commissioner said, “A victim student has raised a complaint against local police station personnel of improper behaviour. We have considered this complaint seriously. I have asked DCP law and order to investigate the matter. If the police station personnel is found to have committed atrocity, disciplinary action will be taken.”

It is leant that the student, in his complaint to the commissioner, said, “After I was assaulted by locals, the sub inspector of the police station called me to the station and got my signature on a blank paper. When I questioned his act, he assaulted me.”
Three girls, students of a para medical college of the city, had gone to Someshwar beach on June 1 evening along with three boys, students of the same college. Some local youths objected the male students who belonged to different community and later assaulted them. Police have arrested seven people in this connection.
