Sullia: Praveen Nettaru murder case - NIA issues second surrender deadline to Aug 18

Daijiworld Media Network – Sullia (MS)

Sullia, Jul 16: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a public announcement in the city, in compliance with the court's directive, urging the absconding accused in the Praveen Nettaru case to surrender by August 18.

Previously, the NIA had set a deadline of June 30 and warned that the properties and houses of the accused would be confiscated. However, the accused failed to surrender. As a result, a second warning has been issued, and it is now certain that the confiscation will take place.

The NIA team has already posted copies of the court order on the houses of the absconding accused. The NIA has filed cases against 21 individuals, including Abdul Rehman and Abdul Nasir from Kodagu, Naushad from Beltangady, and five others who are currently on the run. The remaining fugitives are Mustafa Paichar, Aboobacker Siddique, Ummer Farookh, Tufail, and Masood Agnadi.

On June 27, the NIA conducted raids on the houses of PFI activists in connection with the murder of Praveen Nettaru and seized electronic gadgets and other documents.

Saif quoted.....And who gave you the rights to do such thing??. Which rights you are talking about? So anyone can kill anyone? Why you are supporting the criminals? All criminals need to be killed and those supporting criminals also need to be eliminated irrespective of religion/caste/creed.

where were those people when poor Muslims were lynched in the name of cow! nothing happened to those culprits.. they are roaming freely... law should be equal for all... this property demolition / confiscation should not apply only for minority... i agree what those people did is wrong... i'm not supporting them... i'm just asking why confiscating the property?? try to arrest and press charges on them... simple...

Saif...law should be equal to all. Just because some one did not get justice you cannot justify other criminals. All criminals should be punished. But same is not happening due to political affiliations. BJP is appeasing hindus and Congress is appeasing muslims. So you can expect partiality during these regimes. We need such a regime which looks all religions equally.

@ Surendra Poojari, Mangalore What about BD goons who are real criminals What BD guys who transport Cattle they are also criminals What about BD guy who raped & murdered a minor why no Law for them. And for kind information the murder of Praveen Nettaru was well planned by Nalini Kateel /BD & some guys from PFI activists . The main accused is getting support by these guys . SO he is confident & surrendering.

Harish...my only wish is law should be same for all. There should not be separate law for hindus, separate law for muslims and separate laws for others. What is happening in India is due to political affiliations criminals are getting escaped from punishment. This is a dangerous situation. If Nalin or any one is guilty then government need to initiate action against him. But all these politicians are same. You scratch by back and I scratch your back attitude. No one cares for common man.

Any property of a person involved in crime can be attached by the central government under Criminal Penal Code 105H, and if this or other property is purchased in another person's name it can be confiscated under the Benami Property Act.

An absconding criminal's property is confiscated upon the order of the court in accordance with the law of the land. It's not a political order.
