Bellary: Violation of SC Order - 49 Trucks Transporting Iron Ore Seized

Daijiworld Media Network

Bellary, Jul 31: Following the Supreme Court order to put on hold all mining activities in the Bellary region, the administration decided to crack the whip on violaters and seized 49 trucks carrying iron ore illegally.

The incident was reported from Allipura on the outskirts of Bellary on Saturday July 30. The total value of the seized ore is yet to be ascertained, but it is well over crores.

The trucks, belonging to Srinivas Reddy of Bellary Mining Corporation, though they did have permit, were not allowed to pass as per the SC order which suspended all mining activities, including those with permits.

The drivers of the trucks fled the scene.

On Friday July 29, the Supreme Court had passed an order to suspend all mining activities in the region with immediate effect, citing environmental damage as the reason. It had also asked the environment ministry to furnish a report on the extent of mining carried out in the region within a week.

The operation was led by deputy commissioner Aditya Biswas and the district police.

Immediately arrest notorius Reddy brothers and put them behind the bars. If not the entire Karnataka will be bankcrupt within two years of BJP regime. Save Karnataka and save India. Supreme Court must take stringent action in Mining Scam.

The bankrupt Somalia has better law and order system than Karnataka.
The Reddy brothers does not have any respect for police warrants, the Supreme Court judgment etc. Bellary district follow Reddy brother’s rule. What a sad situation. I wonder why the whole Govt machineries are helpless to pin them down. Even former CM BSY had no voice against them. Are they become the Frankenstein of Karnataka?
They deserve maximum punishment for such serious multiple offences and the authorities should recover all the loots they have amassed in safe havens abroad, benami investments in India and abroad and all underground hidings.

    Dear Mr. Shyam, mangalore,

See my comments in other articles and I do not differentiate the culprits based on political parties. All these thieves who are into corruption, nepotism, land grabbing and illegal mining are enemies of mankind.

Now coming to your comments on Sonia Gandhi, if BJP people have any evidence then they should come out with it and if there is any credible evidence then she should be also behind bars. Unlike you, I will not defend any politician for any acts of corruption based on political affiliations.

Shyam just diverting attention on political leaders of other parties, misdeeds done by BJP can not be wiped out. Yeddyurappa and his Reddy gang should be put behind bars for the massive corruption, land grabbing, act of nepotism and illegal mining and then only people of Karnataka can get justice.

It’s not just the money transfer from one hand to another or not money made by corruption or robbed from bank locker, but the environmental damage and the damage to the Nature done by these guys to our beloved Earth in Karnataka within a short period of time is much above the limit. It will take years and years to repair... it’s just not repairable within a given period of time. These greedy fellows have cut the stomach of a Hen laying golden eggs. They have cut out the stomach of our Mother India removed out the intestine. Not even Britishers who have ruled India have not done such damage to Mother India during their period of rule. These types of Politicians if allowed to rule for another few years they will also remove Western Ghats from the face of the Earth.
Most of the Iron Ore has gone to China for less price, the neighbour which India is worried all the time for their growth and military power.

There were some BJP supporters here appreciating entrepreneurship of Reddys. This is the way they have been making money. Veerappan was much better than these thieves since he was atleast sharing his bounty with some poor people.

I am optimistic that these thieves will be behind bars one day for looting the state. These people not only dented the economy of the state but even the quality of politics. Karnataka people will be happy the day these Reddys are punished and made to pay back the losses.

This Reddy community in Karnataka are daring fellows. They are not scared of anything or anyone. You have to appreciate them. They are the ones who rule bangalore and karnataka. Most of the land / real estate mafia in bangalore belongs to reddy community. They will not care for even Muthappa Rai of Jaya Karnataka when it comes to real estate dealings in bangalore. That is the power of their unity as a community.

All the Mining was stopped by Yeddy 2 years ago.
He has to be congratulated for this (il)-legal mining transportation without mining!
Reddys are not mining in Karnataka-
They were getting only HAFTA of 45-50% on each Load. It is legal so they need Renuka to vouch for their legality, while denigrating Santosh-Baccha- according to Eshwarappa!
