Udupi washroom video row: Court grants conditional bail to three students

Udupi, Jul 28: Three students on whom the FIR is filed over the college washroom video case were granted bail by the first additional civil and JMFC court on Friday July 28.

The three students appeared in front of the judge and surrendered themselves and sought bail. Judge Shyam Prakash heard the plea of the trio and granted them conditional bail.

The three were granted bail with Rs 20,000 each bond and one surety each. They are instructed to cooperate with the investigative agencies and also asked to attend the court on the dates of hearing without fail.

It is leant that the students informed the judge that as students, the case would harm their education.

On behalf of the three students, advocate Asadulla Katpadi requested the honourable court for the bail.

    These students have lost thier mind. Indulging in such issues is not acceptable...i find it disturbing...cause what if these videos are made against them? Thorough investigation must be conducted and to be punished if found guilty. Having said that, taking the subject in to communal angle is very much expected from BJP and i am not surprised at all. They just need opportunity and we are providing it every now and then!!!

    The three have damaged their career due to this, they will understand when they go to appear for any job interviews in future. Ultimate punishment will be in future.

    Hope they have realized their folly. If they still have the urge of making such videos, they can experiment it at home , so it does not harm their education and college reputation.

    Though it is a grave crime these innocent girls (age) should be forgiven. No one else dare to repeat such actions. Families should be questioned to know from where they got this idea. May be listening to adults conversation!?

    The age apart, the fact of filming suggests they are not only mature but crooked also, they might use the videos for blackmailing, so they should not be forgiven but strict action should be taken so that such incident do not occur in future.

    good that these female rogues who made an "innocent childish prank" on an unsuspecting female fellow student landed in court ... now they realise that there is something called police, courts and law. the college should suspend them until court absolves them, since they are facing criminal charges.
