Mangaluru: Inter-school, collegiate fest ‘Agnathon 2023’ inaugurated at St Agnes College

Mangaluru, Sep 7: A day-long inter-school and inter-collegiate fest ‘Agnathon 2023’ was inaugurated here at St Agnes PU College on Thursday September 7.

Addressing the gathering, renowned Tulu film actor Bhojaraj Vamanjoor said, “I am happy to be part of ‘Agnathon’ here. This is a right platform for students to showcase their talents. Make use of the opportunities you get. Students should not fear to step on the stage and perform. You all should always be confident.” He also shared an instance of his first drama performance during school time. He further said, “Students need to balance academics and extra-circular activities. Never neglect your studies.”

Anchor, actor and model Shreyas Shetty said, “Live a meaningful life and respect each other. Grab the opportunities you get as every stage will help you learn and grow.”

Meanwhile, the dignitaries unveiled the trophies for ‘Agnathon 2023’.

Staff convenor Shubhavani welcomed the gathering, student council president Prival proposed vote of thanks and Lavina Aranha compered the event.

Joint secretary St Agnes Institutions Dr Maria Roopa AC, principal Sr Norine D’Souza, vice principal Janet Sequeira, staff convenor Avitha D’Souza and student council vice president Katheeja Nuha were present.
