Udupi, Sep 9: A man, who arrived from Mumbai, killed himself through a nylon rope tied to his neck and hung on the iron rod that is used to hang washed clothes.
This incident is reported from a house at Devinagar of Ambagilu Perampalli Kakkinje of the city.
The deceased is identified as Sukesh Shetty (51), who was working at a hotel in Mumbai. He was married. The exact reason for his suicide is not known.
Social worker Nityananda Olakadu helped in shifting the mortal remains of the deceased to the mortuary in Manipal. A case in this connection is filed in the city police station.
