Mangaluru: 63-yr-old man collapses in temple, dies of cardiac arrest

Mangaluru, Sep 10: Krishna Rao (63), a retired teacher and a resident of Bellyaru Gontu Padupanambur near Mulki collapsed in a temple on Saturday, September 9 and died of cardiac arrest. 

He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

Rao had served as a teacher in the Punaroor school for many years. He worked relentlessly for the renovation of Bellayaru Sri Chandramouleshwara Temple as the chief secretary of the renovation and Brahmakalashotsava committee.

Besides, Rao was the co-priest of Bellayaru Gontu Puthran Moola Stana, member of Kenchanakere milk producers’ cooperative society, a dairy farmer, agriculturist, social worker and a philanthropist. Rao was very popular in the Bellayaru locality.
