Mangaluru: Minor girl ends life by hanging self in apartment, police probe on

Mangaluru, Sep 10: A minor girl, aged 17 years, belonging to the Madiwala community ended her life by suicide on Saturday, September 9 late in the evening.
 
The girl ended her life by hanging herself at Exotica Apartment on Bejai Church Road in Mangaluru East police station limits. 
 
She was living with her mother Shivannama, who works as a domestic maid in the same apartment.
 
 
 
The victim was studying in II PUC and based on the complaint filed by her mother with East police station, a case has been registered bearing UDR No 23/2023 and police have taken up the investigation on the matter. 
 
A death note has also been found and the police are examining it.

    Anil mangalore I wouldnt say parents dontcare for their emotions.Her mother is a domestic worker .She my not have time to care as you say .She must earn money for the familys income.Girl goes to school .may not meet together as one in a rich family.I know how it is.sad .let us wait for the report of suicide note.Might be a love affair?RIP.

    May his soul rest in peace. Many young people take their own lives. A major reason why people struggle with mental health is our toxic culture of comparing our children to our neighbors’. Parents are so ignorant that they don’t even care about their children’s emotions.

    Sad .a young girl suicided.Lets hope it is not some problem from school or any love affair?These days young persons are committing suicide for simple reasons like less marks or not getting mobiles etc.Why do they trouble parents if they are not in situation to give ?AND pain parents by such suicide.Heartfelt sympathy to her family.May her soul rest in peace.

    Please Bejai police must investigate. If can be case or bullying or harassment. Daughters are strong and will not abandon mothers like this. We must investigate.
