Puttur: Nine students escape with minor injuries after auto-rickshaw overturns

Puttur, Sep 12: Providence saved the lives of nine school children as the auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling overturned after the driver lost control of the vehicle at Moorugoli of Beltangady taluk on Monday September 12. The children received minor injuries in the mishap.

A two-wheeler suddenly came across the auto-rickshaw that was carrying nine students of a private English medium school of Moodadka from Kalleri. As the auto-rickshaw driver applied the brakes suddenly to save the two wheeler rider, the vehicle overturned.

The injured children were given medical treatment at the community hospital in Uppinangady and were sent home.
