May his soul rest in peace. I believe the reason behind his suicide is that he was under a lot of stress. I have a few police friends, and the most common behavior I see among them is taking out large loans from banks and private lenders. This can cause a lot of financial stress, and it can also lead to harassment from higher-ranking police officers. In India, we have a hierarchical mindset, so lower-level officials often face harassment.
