Udupi, Sep 15: The reading of the Preamble of Constitution was organized by the Udupi district administration on a grand note on Friday September 15.

Dr Vidyakumari, the district commissioner (DC) read the Preamble of Constitution and thousands of students repeated the same.

Addressing the students, DC Dr Vidyakumari said, "The Preamble of the Constitution is an important element in our constitution. There are clear cut directions regarding how the judiciary, executive and administration should work. Equal powers have been distributed between all the three. An inter-relationship has been proposed between them in our constitution. The proceedings of the constituent assembly are written and are available in book form. All the students should read these proceedings and discussions. We are forgetting the importance of the constitution these days. This movement should spread to more people through students. All the government offices and schools should display the Preamble of the Constitution in their premises. We should develop a broad mentality and this programme will help in doing so.”

Good Job- Every citizen should uphold constitutional values by actively participating in a democratic society by adhering to the principles enshrined in the Constitution of India. Indian citizens should respect and promote the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution, such as the right to equality, freedom of speech and expression, freedom of religion, and the right to life and personal liberty. Citizens should obey the law and respect the legal system. They should not engage in illegal activities or support those who do. Upholding the rule of law is essential for a just and orderly society. India is a diverse country with various cultures, languages, and religions. Citizens should respect this diversity and promote unity in diversity, as enshrined in the Constitution.

This is very important! Every citizen must learn and practice. Our ignorance will slowly deprive us of our rights enshrined in the constitution. Time and again it has been proven that, if we are not vigilant to know and protect our rights; enemies of humanity and social justice will snatch it away from us.

Some people want to change the constitution and IPC codes... Some people want to explore the reality in the practice of sanathana Dharma... In all the commotion this is the best exercise district administration has carried out... Salute to each and every participant... Today early morning I was woken up by the procession of people with slogan of Bharat Maata ki Jai in my locality... Why suddenly so much love and that too early in the morning before people got up from sleep? Love for the nation is the fundamental duty of every citizen... But disturbing public peace in the wee hours is not a right practice...
