Mangaluru, Sep 22: A legal awareness programme was held for the parishioners of St Lawrence Church Bondel on September 17 at 8.00 AM at Church Pendol.

Fr Andrew Leo D'Souza introduced the resource person with a warm welcome.
 
Resource person Fr Joachim D’Souza OFM Cap Fr Joachim, who presided over the programme, addressed the parishioners and expressed the need of the hour to know our basic rights and to know the procedure to get ourselves protected from unnecessary problems through legal complications.
 














 
 
Further he gave more knowledge about the rules for construction of wills, types of wills:
 
Privileged Will
Unprivileged Will
Conditional Will
Concurrent Will
Mutual Will
 
Uniform Civil Code (UCC) civil Law, Criminal Law & Personal law, Uniform Civil Code : problems and prospects.
 
Legal Literacy is an effective tool to protect human rights. It helps us to recognize our civil, political, social and cultural rights. Parishioners took part in this programme in large numbers.
  
An interactive session was also conducted during the course of the programme.
