Billie Eilish calls her song 'Bad Guy' 'the stupidest song in the world'

Los Angeles, Oct 12 (IANS): Pop singer Billie Eilish is not taking too kindly to one of her old songs. Reflecting back on some of her past hits, the ‘No Time To Die’ singer has called her 2019 hit ‘Bad Guy’, the ‘stupidest song in the world’.

Making an appearance on the famous talk-show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, Billie elaborated and said: "Objectively, 'Bad Guy' is like the stupidest song in the world. But it's really good."

Giving a contradictory statement, she added: “You have to understand — you have to have humour in it … That song is supposed to be goofy, but it’s funny ’cause I’m like ‘It’s dumb! It's literally, like, 'Duh'. Like, what does that mean?"

When Jimmy said that he quite likes the song, the singer said that she doesn’t hate the song or anything. Adding to this she said: “Finneas and I, we simultaneously both really disagree when an artiste is very hateful towards their own music.”

She continued: “We’re both big fans of what we make and I love my own music. It definitely changes and morphs, and with me it becomes whatever, but I still cringe. I appreciate it though,” Aceshowbiz reports.

On the song, Billie taunts someone for being a bad guy while also suggesting that she's more resilient. The singer then went on to describe her early days, stating that when she started out she was very depressed due to the high struggle.

Billie, who was just 17 when she released her debut album, shared: "I really, really love it, and it's really nice to be able to say that now, because I really didn't love it for a couple of years. The first few years of my career I was very young and very depressed and didn't even know if I wanted anything that I had."
