'Japan': Song 'Touching Touching' is energetic-groove-packed dance track

New Delhi, Oct 24 (IANS): Tamil star Karthi’s upcoming film ‘Japan’ has released a new track which is titled ‘Touching Touching’. An infectious, peppy, and vibrant track, ‘Touching Touching’ is a full on groove-packed dance track showcasing the power of the vocal duo of Karthi and singer Indravati Chauhan.

While it has the vibe of an item number, ‘Touching Touching’ despite the way it actually plays out is nothing really like an item number. It has several different sonic elements which it blends in creatively from dance music, film music, pop, electronic, rock, and your typical item number style.

‘Touching Touching’ gives a clue into just what a debased character Japan is. The early glimpses had established that Karthi’s character is someone who loves the thrill of the chase and lives a hedonistic lifestyle, while also having a murderous side.

The track boasts great production allowing all the instruments to shine, but the synergy of the vocal duo of Karthi and Indravati takes the cake, as this is the highlight. The instrumentation is very much on point and shows a very creative way to dish out item number vibes, while at the same time being a bit more.

No doubt that ‘Touching Touching’ is a dance track, but it looks like it serves a dual purpose. To make the audiences tap their feet while giving an insight into ‘Japan’s’ character.

The composition does exactly what it was meant to do, rather than just adding in vibes of your typical item number, it instead makes it something more and yet keeps it the same.

Directed by Raju Murugan, ‘Japan’ stars Karthi, Anu Emanuel, Sunil, Jithan Ramesh, and K.S Rajkumar in pivotal roles.
