Hailing from Durg in Chhattisgarh and graduating with an MBA, her dream of joining the Indian Police Service led her to New Delhi for UPSC preparation. However, financial constraints forced her to return to her native village, where she decided to pursue self-study.

Undeterred by the disappointments of her first two attempts, Ankita poured her heart into her third try and secured an impressive All India Rank of 203. This achievement paved the way for her to serve as the Superintendent of Police in the Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district.
