Mangaluru: Self declaration made mandatory for Yuva Nidhi scheme beneficiaries

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Feb 25: The direct cash transfer was done in January to those candidates who have completed 180 days of unemployment after their graduation, post-graduation and diploma courses in 2022-23 and for those who have registered their names under the Yuva Nidhi scheme.

However, self-declaration has been made mandatory for the beneficiaries of the scheme.

The certificates of self-declaration need to be submitted on the Seva Sindhu portal before February 29. If self declaration is not done every month, money will not get transferred into their bank accounts.

An SMS message will be sent to the beneficiaries. They should have an Aadhar-linked bank account. As per the information given by commissioner of industrial training and employment department candidates can visit the site https://dk.nic.in to submit their self declaration.

Under the fifth guarantee of the state Congress government, the unemployed youths need to submit a self-attestation that they are not yet employed before the 25th of every month.

The district employment exchange officer said in a message that the beneficiaries have to log onto Seva Sindhu portal to avail themselves of the benefit.

For further details, the beneficiaries are requested to contact 08354-235337.

This scheme is venurable of misuse. Most of the sole proprietorship or small business give salary in cash. There is no registration of their employment nor they will have PF or ESI account. Hence these people will have an employment plus will take the benefits of this scheme. Does the government has any check on these type of employment. Get ready to pay MORE TAX.
