Kundapur: MLC Pratapchandra Shetty’s Mother Gulabi Passes Away

Kundapur, Oct 2: Gulabi Shedty (93), a resident of Hykady, near here, wife of Huyyaru Patel the late Hiriyanna Shetty and mother of MLC Pratapchandra Shetty passed away in a private hospital at Mangalore on Sunday October 2, followed by a brief illness.

Gulabi Shedty was a humanitarian and helped the poor, downtrodden in her neighborhood.  She is survived by four sons including MLC Pratapchandra and four daughters.

Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandes, former minister Jayaprakash Hegde, former MLA Gopal Poojary, former minister Vasant Salian, Winifred Fernandes, entrepreneur Pramod Madwaraj and others offered condolences to the bereaved family of Gulabi Shedty.
