Mangaluru, May 29: Dr K Raghuveer Adiga, former head of the department of orthopaedics at Father Muller’s Medical College & Hospital, passed away on May 28. He was 67.
Dr Adiga radiated courtesy, concern, and compassion. His profound kindness and exceptional surgical skills earned him not just respect, but the heartfelt gratitude and affection of all who approached him.
Simplicity, humility, and spontaneity marked the persona Dr Adiga was blessed with. Despite his busy schedule, Dr Adiga was never too occupied to reach out to those in need. His refusal to charge more than the bare minimum, and nothing at all to the underprivileged, was legendary. He was a doctor with no patients, only friends.
Dr Adiga's sudden passing is a wrenching loss to all he loved and was loved by.
