Case registered against Karkala native for posting photo defaming Rahul Gandhi

Udupi, Jun 12: A case has been registered at Karkala police station against a person who shared a photo of Rahul Gandhi, leader of the Congress party and leader of the opposition party in the Lok Sabha, garlanding his photo and placing an incense stick on Facebook.

Sumanth Baliga is the accused person. He shared the photo on the official page called Mausami Official, allegedly with the intention of creating animosity between the two political party leaders and spreading hatred.

Therefore, Suhas Kava, secretary of district Youth Congress, has filed a complaint and asked the police to take strict action against the accused.
