Sullia: Temple elephant pushes inebriated man; no injuries reported, video goes viral

Daijiworld Media Network – Sullia (MS)

Sullia, Jun 27: A video showing a youth who had consumed alcohol being pulled and pushed by an elephant belonging to the Kukke Subramanya temple has gone viral on social media. The incident reportedly took place on June 25.

The elephant was stationed near the temple entrance to welcome deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar, who was visiting the temple on June 25. At the same time, a room boy from a local lodge, who had allegedly consumed alcohol, passed by the elephant.

The elephant pulled the man by his neck with its trunk and put him down, as seen clearly in the video.

Fortunately, the man was not hurt. It is believed that the temple elephant is averse to anyone who has consumed alcohol approaching it.

I think we misunderstand animals. May be elephant must have thought of helping the drunkard who couldn't walk properly. We see many times in videos animals help sometimes animals in need . I saw once one bird fell in water and couldn't come out. A monkey went and lifted it out. Anyway now drunkard and elephant became famous! Good elephant didn't crush him under its feet.

Did the drunkard do anything illegal? Why did the elephant take law into its own hand? The Elephant should be booked for violence.

If animals are reacting like that on the drunkards behaviour, just imagine how much humiliation and torture drunkard's wife & dear & near one's suffer al through. Too much! (I'm not a saint)😫😆

Bhai, I was just pulling your legs ... to add some humour and you need not have to be so serious about the matter! Always we need some breathing space to enlighten our minds by some funny witty comments and enjoy some relation. Whenever I get time, I go through You tube to watch funny pranks! (and laugh myself)😆 Surprisingly, Bhandarkar did not pay much attention, else you would have had your day. Still, it not too late for him to strike.
