Maihar, Dec 5 (IANS): The Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched several welfare schemes that are benefiting the people. As a result, the beneficiaries are very happy and are expressing their gratitude to PM Modi.
One such scheme is the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), both rural and urban, through which people's dream of owning a home is being fulfilled. Poor people who once lived in mud houses are now able to live in pucca (concrete) homes through this scheme.
In Maihar district of Madhya Pradesh, people are benefiting from this scheme as well. All the beneficiaries of this scheme in the area are expressing their gratitude to PM Modi.
According to the official records, 22,836 houses have been constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (rural) in the region. In the urban area, around 10,543 beneficiaries have received houses under this scheme.
Moreover, welfare schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, pension schemes, and the Ayushman Bharat scheme are also reaching the poor people efficiently.
Likewise, the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, which was launched a year ago, has received a total of 1,80,011 applications from the region, which have been verified and sent for the next phase.
IANS spoke to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in this district. One beneficiary, Anita Chaudhary, said: "We are receiving all the benefits from the schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I used to live in a hut, but thanks to the PM's scheme, I now have a pucca house. Along with this, we are also benefiting from the Ladli Behan Yojana and the Ayushman Card scheme."
Anita expressed her gratitude to PM Modi for these schemes, saying that he is doing a lot for the poor.
Another beneficiary, Vinod Kumar Chaudhary, stated: "I was also provided a house under the PMAY scheme. This house is in my wife Geeta Bai Chaudhary's name."
He added: "The government is doing good work. Our house was once made of mud, but now under the PMAY scheme, it has become a pucca house."
Another beneficiary, Siya Bai, said: "We have received benefits from all the PM's schemes, including the ration card, housing, and Ayushman card schemes."
Maihar Janpad CEO Pratipal Bagri told IANS: "All the Central government schemes have been successful. Talking about Maihar district, 22,836 houses have been built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (rural) so far, which includes both PMAY and Awas Plus schemes. In addition to this, regarding the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, which PM Modi launched a year ago, 180,011 applications have been received from this area.
"The first phase of verification is complete, and these applications have now been sent to the second phase. Further actions will be taken soon. While people may face small issues at times, our team, including secretaries and Gram Rozgar Sahayaks, help in completing the processes like Aadhaar and mobile number linking, opening bank accounts, etc., to ensure the success of these schemes."
When asked about any issues raised by the people that the government should address for the smoother implementation of these benefits, he stated: "Yes, there are several things. A public grievance redressal system has been set up for the public to voice their concerns, ensuring their issues are addressed quickly. Lok Seva Kendras and several other services have been made available, with a defined timeline. If the work is not completed within the specified time frame, a fine is imposed. This is a very good initiative that allows us to provide timely benefits to the people."
The CEO further said: "The work done is discussed regularly. Our branch heads, who receive instructions according to government rules, ensure that the targets are met on time."
