Mumbai, Jan 6: “All programmes organized by BSKBA today are historical. I feel that by this BSKBA has joined the pages of history. You cannot see an organization that completed 100 years every now and then. This is commendable. Your united work is the reason for this achievement. This should be good plan for coming generation also,” said chief guest and MP of Bengaluru Tejasvi Surya.
Tejasvi was speaking after inaugurating the cultural programme of BSKB Association (Gokula) Sion which is celebrating its centenary at the Sri Shanmukhananda Chandrashekarendra auditorium at King Circle of Sion East on the evening of Sunday.
Surya further said, “The thinking of the people who are responsible for the progress of an organization depends on the leaders mentality. This should not be limited to time. the sacrifices and intentions of those who have led the organization should be made known. Those who hold the responsibility of the dealings of the organizations should have acute inner feelings. This is seen in BSKBA. That is why it has reached 100 years. At least three generations of leaders have worked for this organization. This is unbelievable. I am so happy.”
The stage programme was presided over by Dr Suresh S Rao, president of BSKB Association and Gopalkrishna Public Trust. Chief post master General of Maharashtra-Goa circle of Indian Posts Amitabh Singh, Karnataka state religious Parishad member Vidwan Vedamurthy Panja Bhaskar Bhat, Karnataka Bank temporary working president P Pradeep Kumar were the guests and released special envelopes, post cover stamps and memorial edition.
Amitabh Singh said, “Congratulations to BSKBA for completing 100 years. We are happy to release the special postal cover and part of this occasion. The post cover designed by BSKBA has a unique stamp. This is accepted by the government of India. After many decades one stamp. I am very happy to listen to the achievements of all in the organizations from the beginning. Let that become more valuable in contribution in coming decades.”
Bhaskar Bhat said, “BSKB attracted people due to its work. All appreciation should go to Dr Suresh Rao and other office bearers. If I am here today my mother is the reason for the same. In this association we should have feeling of relationship. We should honour those who are responsible for taking this organization to such heights. As Dr Rao said this organization is the centre of religious and cultural activities. It will go into pages of history.”
Pradeep Kumar said, “If you see history many organizations do not last for even decades. It is important to selflessly serve in any organization. According to me if an organization has reached 100 years it is due to the unity. You have heard the future programmes conveyed by Dr Suresh Rao. You already have Ashram for elderly people. We are proud that Karnataka bank has joined with us in this. Our branch is also in the same building. We are coordinating with the new plans Ashraya is undertaking. As these organizations change according to times, they are still running. I Congratulate BKSKB for completing 100 years and feel that it will respond to the needs of the members in future too.”
