Mumbai, Jan 9: In a heartbreaking incident in Mumbai’s Juhu area, a two-year-old girl, Vidhi Agrahari, lost her life due to severe head injuries after a college student accidentally fell on her while playfully chatting with a friend.

The tragic event occurred on January 2 when the toddler was playing near her family’s shop. At the same time, Harshad Gaurav, 20, and his friend, Shahnawaz Ansari, were engaged in light-hearted banter nearby. Despite warnings from the girl’s mother to move away, the duo continued their playful pushing and shoving.

During the exchange, Gaurav lost his balance and fell on the toddler, causing her fatal injuries. The child was immediately rushed to Cooper Hospital but succumbed to her injuries two days later.

Following a complaint by the girl’s father, an FIR was registered against Gaurav under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (causing death by negligence).

The incident underscores the devastating consequences of carelessness, leaving a family grieving the loss of their young daughter.
