Bengaluru, Jan 16: The CET application process will soon be made more accessible and secure, enabling rural candidates to submit their applications via mobile phones, announced higher education minister Dr M C Sudhakar.
Under the new system, candidates will no longer need to visit cyber centers to complete their CET applications. The revamped process, aimed at simplifying the procedure, incorporates robust security measures to prevent malpractices. The minister assured that the updated system will be operational shortly.
Dr Sudhakar made these remarks at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of a new building at the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) office in Malleshwaram. Chief minister Siddaramaiah laid the foundation for the Rs 30 crore project. During the event, the chief minister also distributed certificates to candidates who qualified in the CET-24 exams.
Dr Sudhakar introduced a ‘one-time registration’ portal for recruitment exams. This initiative allows candidates to register once and use the same registration number for future exams, significantly streamlining the application process. To enhance transparency, the minister announced plans to implement computer-based testing (CBT) for recruitment exams.
