Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jan 27: On January 26, at approximately 8:30 am, a lady passenger, Rachna Marla, who was traveling on Indigo flight 6E-256 to Bengaluru, lodged a written complaint with the Mangaluru airport terminal manager stating that her son's gold chain was lost at the airport. Marla had already departed for Bengaluru when the complaint was registered.

The airport terminal manager informed CISF personnel about the incident. Upon reviewing CCTV footage, it was discovered that the gold chain had fallen at the city-side vehicle drop-off area. Further examination revealed that the chain was picked up by a private vehicle driver who subsequently left the airport.

With assistance from the police, the driver's contact details were traced using the vehicle's registration. When contacted, the driver admitted to picking up the chain by mistake and expressed willingness to return it to the airport.

CISF informed Marla of the developments, and she expressed that she did not wish to press charges but only wanted the chain returned. The driver provided a written apology, and the chain was secured at the Lost and Found office after proper documentation.

Later, relatives of Marla visited the airport and retrieved the gold chain from the lost and found office.

In appreciation of the quick and efficient action, Marla acknowledged the commendable efforts of CISF by sharing a video message.
