Udupi, Feb 5: The long-awaited Udupi–Angarakatte government bus, initially scheduled to start on February 3, finally began operations on February 4. Prompt action has been taken following a report by Daijiworld published on Monday.
Kaup MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty inaugurated the bus service by flagging it off.
Responding to local residents' appeals for a government bus along the Udupi–Angarakatte route, MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty's efforts successfully led to the revival of the service.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Kodibettu gram panchayat president Sandeep Madivala, vice president Indira Poojari, Bommarbettu gram panchayat vice president Harish Salian, district BJP vice president Shreesha Naik Pernankila, and Kodibettu gram panchayat members Arun Shetty, Anil Shetty, Asha Shetty, Sandeep, and Sadanand Prabhu. Local residents Henry D'Souza, Mohan Nayak, Dinesh Kullal, Ratnakar Nayak, Raj Kumar, Arun Pernankila, Ramakrishna Nayak, Kiran Shetty, Pratap Shetty, Jagadish Shetty, and Manjunath Naik were also present.
