New Delhi, Feb 26: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is closely monitoring the arrangements for Maha Kumbh 2025 from the control room in Gorakhpur, ensuring smooth conduct of the event as lakhs of devotees gather at the sacred Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj for the Maha Shivratri holy dip.

With Maha Shivratri marking the final bathing festival of Maha Kumbh, a significant influx of pilgrims has been recorded.

The official X handle of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office shared an update, stating, “Chief Minister Shri @myogiadityanath ji Maharaj is continuously observing the arrangements for the holy bathing festival on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri today at Mahakumbh-2025, Prayagraj from the control room located at @GorakhnathMndr.”

Earlier in the day, CM Yogi extended his best wishes to devotees on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.

Taking to X, the Chief Minister wrote, “Hearty congratulations to all the revered saints, Kalpvasis, and devotees who have come to take a dip of faith in the Triveni Sangam today on the holy bathing festival of Mahashivratri, dedicated to the worship of Lord Bholenath in Mahakumbh-2025, Prayagraj! May Lord Shiva, the lord of the three worlds, and the holy river Mother Ganga bless everyone, this is my prayer. Har Har Mahadev!”

On this sacred day, lakhs of devotees have thronged the Sangam for the last holy dip of Maha Kumbh. As of February 26, over 4 million pilgrims have visited Maha Kumbh 2025. Today alone, more than 25.64 lac devotees have participated in the ritual, taking the total number of pilgrims who have bathed in the holy rivers so far to a staggering 64.77 cr.

Despite the massive turnout, the Uttar Pradesh government, under the constant supervision of CM Yogi, has ensured seamless arrangements for the event.

Devotees have expressed satisfaction over the well-coordinated management, reflecting the administration’s commitment to handling this grand spiritual gathering efficiently.
