Mumbai hit-and-run: elderly pedestrian succumbs to injuries after bike collision

Mumbai, Mar 21: An 80-year-old man who was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident in Mumbai has succumbed to his injuries, police confirmed on Thursday.

The incident occurred earlier this week when the elderly pedestrian was struck by a speeding motorcycle while crossing a busy street. The biker fled the scene, leaving the victim with severe injuries. Passers-by rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was undergoing treatment but eventually succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify and apprehend the accused. Residents have expressed concerns over reckless driving and called for stricter enforcement of traffic rules to prevent such tragedies.
