Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (TP)

Udupi, Mar 21: The victim in the Malpe assault case has expressed that the accused should not be punished and has conveyed a desire to move forward without further conflict.

Speaking to the media on Friday, the victim stated, “I have been working in Malpe for the past five to six years. I was assaulted by the accused after taking a small amount of fish, as I was accused of theft. I simply signed the complaint that was written.”

The victim further added, “On the day of the incident, both parties had agreed not to file a formal complaint, choosing instead to resolve the matter amicably. I do not wish for anyone to be punished and only want to live without any conflict. The act of taking a small amount of fish is a common practice in the area.”

The victim also mentioned plans to return to their hometown and settle there.

Feel sad for the lady. Like she said, picking the fish fallen is a common practice. We have witnessed that too in Dhakke, Bunder. God bless her and her family.
