Mumbai, Mar 27: Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra Minister Shambhuraj Desai has issued a direct warning to comedian Kunal Kamra over his latest satirical video targeting Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Expressing outrage at Kamra’s repeated jabs at political figures, Desai declared that the comedian would face severe consequences.

“Kunal Kamra has crossed all limits. The situation is out of control, and it’s time to teach him a lesson. He may be hiding, but we will drag him out and deal with him on the streets. He needs third-degree treatment,” Desai stated.

The minister accused Kamra of deliberately provoking political leaders, referencing his previous remarks against Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, the Prime Minister, the Supreme Court, and now Sitharaman. Desai warned that Kamra should expect retaliation from Shiv Sena workers, adding, “He will soon receive ‘prasad’ in our style.”

Desai also reminded the public of past confrontations between Shiv Sena workers and Kamra, referring to an earlier incident where Sena members vandalized a studio linked to one of Kamra’s controversial videos.

“We are legislators and ministers, but first, we are Shiv Sainiks. Our patience is running thin. If we take to the streets, Kamra will have nowhere to hide,” he warned.

The Eknath Shinde-led government has already initiated legal action against Kamra, with Desai reiterating that the police have been instructed to track him down.

“If Kamra has the courage, he should step forward and face us. Our Shiv Sena workers will deal with him directly,” Desai added. He also stated that Mumbai Police would be pursuing Kamra, hinting at a more aggressive response if legal action did not yield results.

Meanwhile, Kamra responded to the second summons issued by Mumbai Police with another satirical video, this time targeting Nirmala Sitharaman. This marks his third video in five days, further intensifying tensions between him and the Maharashtra government.
