Patna, Mar 29: Union Minister Lalan Singh announced on Saturday that properties linked to the fodder scam will be seized by law enforcement agencies, with the recovered funds being transferred to the Bihar government’s treasury. Calling it a just and rightful decision, he asserted that the law would take its course.

The Union Minister also addressed the controversy surrounding the Waqf Amendment Bill, responding to Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav’s opposition. He clarified that the bill will be debated in Parliament, and there was no need for political figures to engage in external disputes. “This is a matter for the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The final decision will rest with Parliament,” he stated.

His remarks come amid protests led by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board in Patna, where Lalu Prasad and Tejashwi Yadav voiced their support for the Muslim community’s concerns over the bill.

On Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Bihar, Lalan Singh highlighted that Shah’s primary agenda was to strategize for the BJP’s upcoming Assembly election campaign. “He is coming to hold discussions with party members and strengthen the BJP’s electoral preparation,” Singh informed reporters at Patna Airport. Shah is scheduled to arrive in Patna on Saturday evening and will address a rally in Gopalganj on Sunday.

Singh also took a swipe at Rahul Gandhi, responding to his claims of being denied a chance to speak in the Lok Sabha. The Union Minister dismissed his complaints, calling him a "guest" in politics. “Rahul Gandhi comes and goes like a guest. If he stays longer in Parliament, he will get more opportunities to speak,” Singh remarked.

Reacting to Congress Bihar Legislative Party leader Shakeel Ahmed’s statement that BJP leaders are illiterate, Singh brushed off the comments as insignificant. “Such statements hold no value,” he concluded.
