Buldhana, Apr 2: In a devastating accident, five persons lost their lives in a collision involving a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus and an SUV in Buldhana district, eastern Maharashtra, on Wednesday morning.
According to police sources, the incident occurred on the Khamgaon-Shegaon highway when an MSRTC bus collided head-on with a Bolero SUV. In a tragic chain of events, a private bus traveling along the same route crashed into the already damaged vehicles, worsening the situation.
Authorities rushed to the spot, and rescue operations were initiated immediately. The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed, and further investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
The mishap has raised concerns over road safety measures in the region, with locals urging authorities to enhance vigilance and precautionary measures along busy routes.
