New Delhi, Apr 6: As Congress leader Rahul Gandhi prepares for his third visit to Bihar this year, BJP's state chief Dilip Jaiswal has launched a scathing critique, asserting that Gandhi's presence will only spell political decline for the Congress in the state. Jaiswal's remarks come ahead of Gandhi's scheduled appearance at a seminar titled "Safeguarding the Constitution" in Patna on April 7.
"Rahul Gandhi has effectively sunk the Congress ship nationwide. He will replicate this in Bihar. Wherever he campaigns, the Congress suffers. The electoral outcomes in Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Delhi serve as stark examples," Jaiswal told IANS. He further added, "I express gratitude to Rahul Gandhi for his role in the Congress's downfall and for dedicating his youth to this endeavor. He has now transitioned into a 55-year-old youth. He is poised to sink the Congress in Bihar as well."

Jaiswal also addressed the recent enactment of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, which has been passed by both houses of Parliament. He emphasized the democratic process that preceded the bill's passage, highlighting its aim to reform Waqf properties and improve their management.
"The Waqf Bill Amendment Act, passed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA alliance, was the culmination of a highly democratic process," Jaiswal stated. He claimed that the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) solicited input from millions of citizens before the bill was subjected to parliamentary debate and approval.
He further detailed the extensive parliamentary dialogue, noting that members from various political factions, including JDU, LJP, and other NDA allies, contributed valuable suggestions. Jaiswal asserted that these suggestions were incorporated to enhance the bill's benefits for Muslim communities and ensure more efficient management of Waqf properties.
"We are optimistic that this legislation will contribute to the improved future of the Waqf Board, and we extend our appreciation to the President for his assent to this crucial piece of legislation," he concluded.
