New Delhi, Apr 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid heartfelt tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, recalling his unmatched contribution in shaping modern India and inspiring generations through his principles of social justice, equality, and constitutional values.
Remembering the architect of the Indian Constitution, PM Modi said Ambedkar's ideals continue to guide the nation's journey toward becoming a self-reliant and developed Bharat.

Taking to social media platform X, Modi stated, “On behalf of all countrymen, I bow to Bharat Ratna Pujya Babasaheb on his birth anniversary. His inspiration drives the nation's dedicated efforts toward social justice and nation-building.”
In a video message, the Prime Minister described Dr Ambedkar as a “symbol of humanity” who believed in constitutional methods and urged society to embrace education. “He gave us three guiding mantras — education, organisation, and struggle — that continue to inspire us even today,” he said.
Highlighting the government's efforts to preserve Ambedkar’s legacy, PM Modi spoke about the development of “Panch Teerth” — five important sites associated with his life, including his birthplace in Mhow, the place of study in London, Deeksha Bhoomi in Nagpur, Mahaparinirvan Sthal in Delhi, and Chaitya Bhoomi in Mumbai.
He also recalled the inauguration of the Dr Ambedkar International Centre in Delhi as a tribute to the Father of the Indian Constitution.
“The spirit in which Babasaheb worked was rooted in pure national devotion and social justice. If we wish to serve the poor, Dalits, tribals, and the underprivileged, his life will always remain an inspiration,” the Prime Minister added.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also paid homage to Dr Ambedkar and shared a video from his visit to the Ambedkar Memorial House in London, the residence where the social reformer stayed during his law studies.
