Srinivas University launches 5-day FDP on 'Innovative Teaching & Learning Pedagogy'

Mangaluru, Jul 1: The Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, in association with the Institute of Education, Srinivas University, Pandeshwar campus, inaugurated a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Innovative Teaching & Learning Pedagogy" on July 1.

The inaugural session was graced by distinguished faculty members and participants from various departments. The programme was formally welcomed by Dr Padmanabha C H, dean, Institute of Education, who highlighted the relevance of innovative teaching methods in the evolving educational landscape.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr M Premkumar, associate professor, Institute of Physiotherapy, Srinivas University, who spoke on the topic ‘Core skills in Manuscript Writing’. His session offered meaningful insights into structuring academic content, enhancing clarity in writing, and aligning manuscripts with scholarly standards.

The inauguration was compered by Prof Revathi, who ensured the smooth flow of the event. Prof Yogeetha Pai, head of the department of Interior Design, delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating the collective effort in organizing this academic initiative.

Prof Prashanth Prabhu, dean, Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, along with other faculty members, was present and extended support to the initiative.

The FDP continues till July 5, and features expert sessions by Praveen Udupa, Dr Ajaya, Dr Flosy D’Souza, and Prof Subrat Saraf, focusing on various aspects of modern teaching pedagogy.
