Bantwal, Jul 12: In connection with the murder of Abdul Rehman of Kolattamajalu and the assault on Kalandar Shafi, the Bantwal rural police have arrested one more accused.
In connection with Crime No. 54/2025 registered at the Bantwal rural police station on May 27 earlier this year, under sections 191(1), 191(2), 191(3), 118(1), 118(2), 109, 103 read with 190BNS 2023, a total of nine individuals had already been taken into custody.

As the investigation progresses, on Saturday July 12, Pradeep (34), a resident of Pudu village in Bantwal, has been taken into custody and is currently being interrogated.
Police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and further legal action will be initiated as per due process.
