Bantwal, June 2: All five arrested in the Abdul Rehman murder case have been taken into police custody for further investigation.
The case pertains to the murder of Abdul Rehman from Koltammajal and the assault on Khalandar Shafi at Irakodi in Kurniyal village of the taluk. Bantwal rural police have now taken all five accused into custody for deeper investigation.

The arrested are Deepak (21) from Mundrakodi in Kurniyal village, Pruthviraj (21) and Chinthan (19) from Shivajinagar in Ammunje, Sumith Acharya (27) from Tenkabellur, and Raviraj (23) from Badagabellur. They were produced before the court and subsequently remanded to police custody.
Investigation is ongoing to determine who else might be involved in the murder. Police sources said that more people may be detained and interrogated as the probe progresses.
