Bantwal: One more arrested in Abdul Rehman murder case, total arrests reach 11

Bantwal, July 21: Police have arrested another accused in connection with the brutal murder of Abdul Rehman and the attempted murder of Kalander Shafi that took place in Kolatthamajalu under the Bantwal rural police station limits.

The arrested has been identified as Shahith alias Sahith (24), a resident of Ammunje village. With his arrest, the total number of accused arrested in the case has risen to 11.

Shahith was produced before the court, which has remanded him to police custody for further investigation.

On May 27, Abdul Rehman was hacked to death by a group of acquaintances using lethal weapons. His friend Kalander Shafi, who was with him at the time, was critically injured in the attack. The assailants had fled the scene after the incident.
