SSVMEI, Udupi, & NITTE group enter into MoU for academic, research collaboration

Udupi, Jul 31: Shri Sode Vadiraja Matha Educational Institutions (SSVMEI), Bantakal, Udupi, and NITTE (Deemed to be University), Deralakatte, Mangaluru, have embarked on an exciting journey of collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on July 29. This landmark agreement, formalized at NITTE's vibrant campus in Mangaluru, promises to redefine academic excellence, spark innovation, and empower students and faculty through a dynamic partnership focused on academics, research, and entrepreneurship.

This MoU paves the way for a transformative alliance, fostering cutting-edge joint research initiatives that unite faculty, departments, and institutions in tackling shared challenges and pioneering new frontiers. The partnership champions innovation by offering mutual support for intellectual property rights (IPR), enabling both institutions to protect and commercialize groundbreaking ideas through collaborative patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Students and faculty will thrive through immersive exchange programmes, gaining access to enriching seminars, workshops, hackathons, internships, and hands-on mini-projects designed to elevate skills and inspire professional growth.

The collaboration extends its reach through the co-organization of high-impact conferences and workshops, creating vibrant platforms for knowledge sharing and networking. SSVMEI and NITTE will also open their state-of-the-art instrumentation and laboratory facilities to each other at nominal costs, ensuring researchers have access to world-class resources. The partnership is set to revolutionize education by jointly developing interdisciplinary academic programs, electives, and value-added courses tailored to meet the demands of emerging industries. The MoU signing ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Rathnakumar, honorary secretary of the Sode Group; Professor Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal, CEO of SSVMEI; Professor M S Moodithaya, vice chancellor of NITTE (Deemed to be University) and governing council member of SMVITM, Bantakal; Dr Harsha N Halahalli, registrar of NITTE Deemed University; Dr Bharath K Bhat from SMVITM; and Dr Vijeesh V from NMAMIT, the designated coordinators for this collaboration.

Professor Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal stated, “This MoU underscores our commitment to academic excellence and global exposure through collaborative efforts. He also highlighted the tremendous growth which SSVMEI has had in the past along with its bright future prospects.”
