Maharashtra: Youth strangle minor fiancée to death after quarrel, arrested

Palghar, Sept 3: In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old youth has been arrested for allegedly strangling his 17-year-old fiancée to death following a heated quarrel at her residence in Bivaldhar village of Jawhar taluk, Palghar district.

According to police, the couple, who were engaged and known to be in a relationship, often met at the girl’s house. On Tuesday, when her parents had gone to their farmland, the accused visited her, and an argument ensued that soon escalated. In a fit of rage, he allegedly strangulated her to death before fleeing the spot.

Neighbours, upon learning of the incident, alerted the police. The victim’s body was shifted for post-mortem examination. Jawhar DySP Sameer S Maher confirmed that the accused was traced and taken into custody on Wednesday.

He has been booked under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for murder. Further investigations are underway.

    Now a days there is no Jail for murderer. They just come out on bail within 1 month. This is Indian Judiciary system.
