Nashik: Three minor boys apprehended for murder after man allegedly teased their friend

Nashik, Sep 3: In a shocking incident in Nashik city, police have detained three minor boys for allegedly killing a man who had reportedly teased their female friend.

According to police, the incident took place around 1.45 pm on Tuesday near Thakkar Bazaar, opposite a hotel, where the boys attacked an unidentified man, aged between 45 and 50 years, with a cement paver block on the footpath. The man sustained severe head injuries and later succumbed.

Acting on information, the local crime branch launched a search and received a tip-off that the accused had fled towards the Mela bus stand area. When police reached the spot, the three boys, aged between 15 and 16, attempted to flee but were soon apprehended.

During questioning, the boys confessed that they had assaulted the victim after he allegedly teased their female friend. They admitted to striking his head with a cement paver block, leading to his death.

Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for murder and common intention. Further investigation is underway.
