Dubai, Sep 16: Ami Sasthanghar UAE successfully hosted its second consecutive Monthi Festh celebration, bringing together faith, tradition, and community fellowship at Smana Hotel Al Raffa, Dubai, on Sunday, September 14. The four-hour celebration, welcomed over 60 adults and children in a heartwarming display of cultural unity.
The festivities commenced with a warm welcome from host Melcon Lewis, followed by an opening prayer beautifully led by Praveen Saldanha and his team. The ceremony's most touching moment came with the traditional flower offering to Mother Mary, expressing collective gratitude and reverence. Guests were then served milk with novem, while blessed paddy specially brought from Sasthan Parish was distributed, adding deep spiritual significance to the gathering.














The celebration was elevated by the melodious hymns performed by a choir group under the leadership of Russel Dias, dedicating their songs to Mama Mary. The cultural program featured diverse entertainment including a captivating group medley, a harmonious duet by Russel Dias and Ranjitha Lewis, and interactive games skillfully organized by Riya Lewis that engaged participants of all ages.
A creative video singing contest added modern flair to the traditional celebration, with Kiara Rodrigues claiming the top prize. The festivities continued with best-dressed competitions across male, female, and children's categories, with President Christopher Fernandes conducting the prize distribution ceremony.
During the community feedback session, guest Savitha Rodrigues encouraged active participation in future gatherings, emphasizing the importance of maintaining these cultural connections. President Christopher Fernandes delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the dedication of guests, contributors, volunteers, and office bearers who made the event possible.
The blessing of food was conducted by Zeena Pinto, after which attendees enjoyed an authentic Mangalorean lunch featuring traditional delicacies specially prepared for the nativity feast. As a meaningful gesture, each family received blessed paddy sachets, symbolizing faith and unity within the community.
The joyous afternoon reached its crescendo with an energetic baila dance, creating lasting memories and strengthening the bonds of community among attendees.
