Panaji, Oct 15: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met spiritual leader Jagadguru Satishacharya Ji Maharaj on Thursday, with photographs of their meeting shared on the spiritual leader’s official Instagram account.

The post described the meeting as a reflection of spiritual values, Indian culture and mutual respect. It said such encounters strengthen the Sanatan tradition and reinforce reverence for saints.

Jagadguru Satishacharya Ji Maharaj is the Peethadhishwar of Premeshwar Dham in Kalyanpur, Kanpur. He is known for promoting Sanatan culture, spiritual awakening and Indian values, and for his work in Vedic knowledge, cow protection, Ayurveda, meditation, yoga and spiritual education.

He has also been associated with efforts to promote Hindu culture and revitalise Sanatana Dharma. His interactions with political leaders and other public figures have recently drawn attention on social media.

Earlier, a photograph showing Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian meeting Satishacharya Ji Maharaj in yellow robes sparked widespread online interest in the spiritual leader and his background.

Under his leadership, a cultural renaissance campaign centred on a spiritual vision for a developed India is being promoted, with the stated aim of reconnecting society with Indian culture, religion and moral values.
