New Delhi, Sep 21: In a significant breakthrough against inter-state drug trafficking, the Inter-State Cell (ISC) of the Delhi Police Crime Branch has dismantled a Bareilly-based narcotics syndicate, seizing nearly two kilograms of high-grade smack along with over Rs 10 lakh in cash, gold, and silver during a series of coordinated raids.
The crackdown began on September 15, when a police team apprehended Aman Khan, a 22-year-old resident of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, at the Anand Vihar Bus Terminal in Delhi based on specific intelligence. A search of his belongings led to the recovery of 214.5 grams of smack, prompting the registration of a case under the NDPS Act.

Further interrogation revealed that Aman’s trip to Delhi had been facilitated by Uwaise Khan, aged 20, also from Bareilly. Acting swiftly on this lead, Delhi Police, in collaboration with local authorities, conducted a raid on September 18 at Khan’s residence in Village Gugai, Meerganj, Bareilly. His arrest led to a major haul: 1.76 kilograms of smack, Rs 10.30 lakh in cash, 435 grams of gold, and 550 grams of silver.
Police records show that Uwaise Khan is a repeat offender, previously booked under the NDPS Act in 2022 in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
The operation was led by Inspector Satendra Khari of ISC, supported by Sub-Inspector Amit Kumar, SI Sanjay, Head Constables Sanoj, Lalit, Brijesh, and Surender, under the supervision of ACP Ramesh Lamba. The case is being monitored by Aditya Gautam, Deputy Commissioner of Police, who confirmed in an official statement that further raids are underway to apprehend additional members of the drug network.
This bust marks a crucial step in disrupting inter-state narcotics supply chains operating between Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
