Mangaluru: KSRTC Dasara special tour packages extended till October 7

Mangaluru, Sep 30: The KSRTC Mangaluru Division’s Dasara special tour packages, which began on September 22, have received overwhelming response from passengers, prompting the corporation to extend the services till October 7.

Originally scheduled to operate till October 2, the special package tours on the routes Mangaluru–Madikeri, Mangaluru–Sigandur, and Mangaluru–Kollur will now continue for an additional five days.

Between September 22 and 29, a total of 4,533 passengers and tourists availed the package services on various routes, including Sigandur, Kollur, Kateel, Madikeri, Udupi–Kollur, and Udupi–Sringeri.

In all, 112 buses were operated during this period, generating a revenue of Rs 27,56,793, according to a release by the Senior Divisional Controller, KSRTC Mangaluru Division.

The extension is expected to benefit devotees and tourists keen on visiting prominent temples and tourist destinations during the festive season.
