Mumbai, Oct 21: In a remarkable medical achievement, S L Raheja Hospital, Mahim – A Fortis Associate, has successfully performed its first-ever Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) at its Centre of Excellence (COE) for Haemato-Oncology, bringing new hope to patients battling life-threatening blood disorders.
The life-saving procedure was conducted on 61-year-old Bijayentimala Devi from Manipur, who was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a complex form of blood cancer.
